SOHO Backups
- For SOHO (small office/home office) with no central file server
- Use Windows supplied backup software
- Backup to external hard drive or cloud storage
Windows
- Backups are implemented via File History feature
Settings > Update & Security > Backup
- can configure local drive or network folder as the storage destination
- can choose which folders to backup
- can set a schedule for the backup job
- To restore a file or folder, use Previous Versions tab in the Properties dialog box
- To restore multiple files, use the File History applet (Restore Files with File History)
- Backup and Restore Center control panel tool is an alternative backup manager
- can make image backups of entire OS
