WEP Attack

• WEP is inherently insecure
• When you setup a WEP connection, the computer and AP exchange an initialization vector (IV)
  • this is sent unencrypted
    • because its used to setup an encrypted connection
  • If an attacker can capture enough IVs, then they can reconstruction the encryption key
